Technical info? Let me see, the camera I used for this is an Olympus C-5050, set to manual focus, macro.
Make: OLYMPUS OPTICAL CO.,LTD
Model: C5050Z
Shutter Speed: 10/6500 second
F Number: F/2.0
Focal Length: 12 mm
ISO Speed: 64

This insect is a pretty big locust, (i don't know which specific species) a few inches long, head to tail, I would say at least 5 inches, no more than 7. I found it hiking around a coffee plantation at 2,000 mts elevation in Central America.

Sure is a nice lens. Must be great to have such a fast lens on an all-in-one system!

I used Olypus OM SLRs for years. Always really liked their stuff. Traded them in for Nikon about 20 years ago, wish I never did. Now I've dumped the Nikon stuff and I've moved to Canon (20D) which I'm loving.

What the heck is 10/6500 of a second?
